Fresh Logs! Nature, Pureness and Safety in Green River Boards
Just as with fresh ingredients to create gourmet food, the quality of raw materials does have a certain impact on the quality of the board. High-quality wood material makes for more efficient and stable processing which helps to ensure more consistent quality of finished board.
As a well-known Asian wood products manufacturer, Green River has seven lines for the production of solid wood, particleboard and melamine faced chipboard (MFC) in Thailand.
Green River always insisted on producing “natural, pure, safe” boards. We attach great importance to the quality of upstream raw materials, and insist that each board comes from the freshest wood raw materials. Our products are manufactured only using a single species of fresh rubber wood from sustainable rubber plantations. Our particleboards are produced to international standards for quality and safety.
We draw on lush rubber plantation forests in resource-rich southern Thailand. The ideal cultivation area for rubber trees is a tropical place with a latitude of less than 15 degrees. The Songkhla Province of Thailand is at about 7 degrees north latitude.
The abundant sunshine and rain ensure the robust growth of the rubber trees. Every morning, the trucks loaded with rubber wood rumble to the log-yard stockpile of the production line.
Compared with the fasting-growing Poplar and Eucalyptus trees in China, which are grown for chip logs for 3 to 5 years, the rubber trees are grown for latex to an age of 25 years. Rubber wood has the features of light color, uniform and strong material, which are very suitable for the material of particle boards.
Due to the lack of wood forest resources in most countries, some producers of particleboard use a variety of wood such as mixed wood (multi-species wood), recycled waste wood and bark, or burned wood as raw materials.
In addition to the complex source of raw materials, the board manufacturers often have long-distance transportation of raw materials, off-peak market seasons, and inconsistent supply and demand of raw materials…etc. Thus, the manufacturers must stock wood material for several months, which can easily lead to board rot, odor, and unstable quality.
Green River has strict selection standards, not only to ensure pure log materials, but also to ensure the “freshness” of rubber wood. After the rubber wood is transported to Green River, it will be placed for 7 to 10 days to reduce the water content, and then enter the production workshop.
From a rubber wood to a particle board, the board is manufactured through the following process:
Log → chipping→ flaking → drying →classifying → sifting →glue bending →mat forming →pressing →cross-cutting → sanding→ cutting-to-size →Particle Board
Single tree species and fresh wood material are the features of Green River to produce the high quality of panels against other board manufactures.
Every Green River board is made with 100% fresh rubber wood.
For every customer’s dream house, Green River promises to reliably deliver “Natural, Pure and Safe” particleboard made with eco-friendly wood in a well-controlled manufacturing process.
