Sustainable Forestry

Thailand is the world’s largest producer of natural rubber, with a vast area of rubber trees planted within the country, mainly in the southern region of Thailand.

Rubber trees are a wonderful gift from heaven to Thailand.  Green River, located in the south of Thailand, has taken advantage of this unique global treasure.  Since its establishment, Green River has adhered to the sustainable development philosophy of “green, natural, and harmonious”, with rubber wood as the foundation of its business development.

Unlike other countries’ mixed rubber trees, Thailand’s rubber wood is a renewable agricultural resource that can be planted on a large scale. The growth period of the rubber trees is approximately 25 to 30 years. After the latex is harvested, the trees can be felled for use, and then sustainably replanted. Rubber wood replaces the felling of forest trees, protects forest resources, and practices the principle of sustainable development.

Green River has obtained the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification. Forest products certified by FSC must come from sustainably managed forests and comply with FSC standards and criteria, including environmental, social, and economic standards, providing better protection for forests and communities. The particleboards produced by Green River can store about 1.2 million tons of CO₂ emissions per year, effectively reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
